Save the Children in Serbia seeks an European Refugee Response Partnership Officer. The job holder’s role is to support:

·  Serbia Response Program, working closely with the Operations Manager to identify, assess and establish partnership relations with various local and international NGOs and agencies as well as government counterparts to with aim to provide needs based capacity building programing in order to ensure effective respond to the situation on ground. This particular role will focused on implementation of capacity building and network strengthening programing for Save the children Serbia Refugee Response program.

·  Also, this position will be 50 percent seconded to the Start Network Program, acting as a European Refugee Response Officer who will work closely with the Programme Manager for European Refugee Response (ERR) to ensure the smooth operational support to the overall response, including regular updates, project monitoring and information sharing, participate and organize relevant meetings and support development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for collaborative responses.

Duration of the post: four months with possibility of an extension.

Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

The successful candidate should have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training.

•  At least 5 years’ of extensive experience in an NGO environment in Serbia, including experience directing and implementing programs for children in emergency contexts and development context preferably with solid experience in more than one of the Save the Children priority sectors: Protection, Nutrition, Shelter, Emergencies

•  Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities

•  Credibility to lobby, influence and represent Save the Children at all levels

•  Resource management, training, capacity building, coaching, and mentoring skills

•  Demonstrable experience of embracing new approaches, new technology (especially collaborative technologies such as Box, Insightly, Slack, Zoom and Skype) and new ways of working

•  Proven ability to demonstrate successful collaborative behaviors in the work place, including forging and maintain effective new relationships and partnerships, often across organizational boundaries

•  Proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment, and the ability to handle multiple priorities, from different sources, at the same time.

•  A track record of efficient and organized administrative skills, including record keeping and retrieval and accurate, clear and concise minute taking and action noting.

•  Financial skills including budget management and creation.

•  Narrative / reporting skills and the ability to collate, condense, analyse and summarize complex information into easily digestible formats.

•  Confident, strong all-round business and communications skills both verbal and written, including the ability to utilize social media for maximum impact and verbal representation at a high level.

•  High level analytical and strategic thinking skills
