User Agreement
1. User fee, deposit, damage and cleaning charges
a. Total fees are based on number of days camp is used, facilities rented and number of overnight campers, including staff.
b. One night’s deposit is due with signed reservation agreement. The deposit may be used for repair or replacement of camp property which is lost, damaged or destroyed as a result of actions of the user group; or may be used to pay for cleaning if facilities are inadequately cleaned. User group is responsible for cost of damages caused by misuse of the camp.
2. Only the facilities designated on the rental agreement may be used by the group. In addition, common areas such as bathhouse, parking lot, paths and recreation areas will be shared with other camp guests. Please respect all guests’ privacy and enjoyment of the camp.
3. The camp will provide water, electricity, garbage receptacles, beds, mattresses, kitchen utensils, dishes and certain other items necessary for operation of the camp. The camp will also provide toilet paper, garbage bags and cleaning supplies for the bathrooms, cabins and outhouses. The camp is in safe condition and repair, however to minimize costs we rely on groups to keep the camp clean and to report identified problems to the manager. User groups agree to leave the camp clean, free of defacement, and ready for the next user group. Please leave the camp BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT. There are no janitors at this camp; YOU are the custodians and stewards of the camp. Bless you!
4. User group is responsible for program, food service and participants, including, but not limited to:
a. design and implementation of the user group’s own program.
b. food preparation, storage, and cleanliness of food prep area.
c. welfare of all participants, or persons, including visitors, guests, or volunteers, brought to camp for group’s program
d. entities or things brought to camp for group’s program or group’s use
e. health and safety of all participants, or persons, including visitors, guests, or volunteers
f. program manager or designee must be present when participants or other persons are present
g. medical supervision, treatment and dispensing of medicine to its campers
h. providing own medical supplies and medical equipment.
i. maintaining a current list of participants, including staff with names, addresses and emergency contact information
j. providing all transportation for group’s camp/campers, participants, guests, volunteers, or visitors.
k. prohibiting: profane language, possession or use of alcoholic beverages or other drugs, firearms, ammunition, fireworks and gambling
l. no smoking in the cabins, lodge or bathhouse.
m. no candles in the cabins, however, candles are permitted in other areas only during ceremonial activities.
n. emergency use of fire extinguishers only, refill fee will be charged if fire extinguisher is misused
o. good pet stewardship is expected. Dogs must be leashed while other guests are in camp. Group is responsible for any dogs brought to camp.
5. Liability for injury to persons or property is the responsibility of the user group. The user group agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the camp, including board members, employees, contractors or assigns, from and against any claim arising out of the user group actions and/or failure to act in respect of its use of the camp.
6. Amendment or termination: This agreement may be terminated by either party with 30 days notice. The ERUMC board may terminate it within 10 days if statute, rule or regulation of a government agency requires it.
The undersigned request use of the camp on the dates and times specified and agree to the above rules.

As of this date, Eagle River Methodist Camp has no cell phone signal. Telephones are located on the porch of the lodge and manager’s cabin for local calls OR emergencies. Please keep phone use to a minimum as the lines are shared.
