WAC Mission Statement
Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) is a program of the Center for Teaching and Learning. The primary goal of WAC is to assist colleges, departments, and individual faculty members with all aspects of the teaching of reading and writing in their disciplines, including designing reading and writing assignments, responding to student writing, designing writing assessment, and using writing to improve critical thinking. WAC collaborates with other faculty development and support programs on campus and provides outreach to high schools and community colleges. WAC supports the Academic Affairs goals of excelling in student preparation, enhancing excellence in teaching and learning, developing resources to support instructional needs, and serving the capitol region.
