Introduction

Here is a nature-inspired beaded bracelet!

Learn to create the bracelet with crisscrossing technique.

With the perfect combination of purple, pink and green these crystals looks like the colorful tropical fruits and leaves, hanging from a vine of bronze seed beads.

As you create the bracelet you are like creating a garland or vines of fruits in the forest.

The tutorial is catered for intermediate to advanced students. It has in-depth instructions and ultra-clear, close-up photos at each step. Additionally, you can ask me question you have on the tutorial. No more getting stuck and frustrated on a confusing or just plain inaccurate pattern.

Materials and tools needed:

Materials Needed
(A) Some seed beads size 11

(B) 6 Butterflies (approx 0.8 in width)

(C) 8 x 6mm round dark purple bicone crystals

(D) 6 x 5mm dark bicone crystals

(E) 5 x 6mm dark purple pearl bead

(F) 5 x 4mm green bicone crystals

(G) 5 x 4mm purple bicone crystals

(H) 3 x 8mm pink round crystals

6 x 4mm bicone crystals

12 x 5mm round crystals

Clasp

Arm length of thread or nylon thread

Tools Needed
Scissors
Needle (optional)

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Creating the 1st vine

Cut about anarm lengthof thread. String 4(A) and cross the left thread into the last 1(A) from the right.

Pull the thread.

Step 2:

After crossing the threads, take the right thread and string 5(A), 1(B) and 1(A).

Then pass the thread back through the last 1(A), 1(B) and 1(A).

With the same right thread continue to string 4(A).

Then take your left thread and string 1(C) and 1(A).

Continue by crossing the left thread into 1(A) from the right thread.

Pull the thread.

Step 3:

On both thread string 3(A).

Then cross the left thread into the last A from the right thread.

Step 4:

On your left thread, string 1(A), 1(C) and 1(A).

Then pass the left thread back through 1(C).

Continue with your left thread by stringing 1(A), 1(D) and 1(A).

Then pass the left thread back to 1(D).

On your left thread string 1(A) and on your right thread, string 1(A), 1(E) and 3(A).

Then pass the right thread into 1(E), then add 2(A).

Continue by crossing the left thread into the last 1(A) from the right and pull the thread.

Step 5:

On your left thread, string 1(A) and on your right thread string 2(A).

Then cross the left thread into the last 1(A) from the right thread you just added.

Step 6:

Continue with your left thread by stringing 1(A), 1(F) and 1(A).

Then pass the left thread back through 1(F) you just added.

Follow by adding 1(A) on the same left thread.

Continue to string 1(A), 1(G) and 1(A) on your right thread.

Then pass the right thread back to 1(G). Pull the thread.

On the same right thread, string 1(A), 1(C) and 1(A).

Then pass the right thread back to 1(C). Add in 2(A).

Now cross the left thread into the last 1(A) from the right thread.

Step 7:

String in 3(A) respectively on both right and left thread.

Cross the left thread into the last 1(A) from the right thread.

Step 8:

On your left thread string 5(A), 1(B) and 1(A).

Then pass the left thread back through 1(B), 1(A) you just added.

And then string 4(A).

Continue with your right thread and string 1(A), 1(H) and 1(A).

Cross the left thread into 1(A) from the right thread.

Step 9:

Repeat Step 3 to 7.

Step 10:

Repeat steps 2 to 8. You now have 2 sets of vines.

Step 11:

Repeat again Step 3 to 7 and create a 3rd set of vines.

Step 12:

Repeat Steps 2 - 8. Here you have your 3rd set of vines.

Note:

Depending on the length of bracelet you need, you can continue to add length to your bracelet by repeating step 3 - 7.

Step 14: Attaching the clasp

On your left thread, string 3(A).On your right thread string 3(A), followed by your toggle clasp.

Cross the right thread into 1(A) from the left thread and pull the thread.

Step 15:

To secure the thread pass the back through the beads to the other end of the bracelet. As you might not have sufficient thread now, you can make a knot and pass the thread through several threads and cut off the excess thread. You can then attach new thread to continue weaving till the other end of the bracelet.

When you reach the other end of the bracelet, repeat step 14 by adding 3A at both end of the thread and insert another part of the clasp.

Cross left thread into right thread and pull the thread. Pass the thread back to several beads, make a knot and pass it back to a few more beads before you cut off the excess thread.

Viola! You have your Tropical Forest Bracelet!
