/ Stonewall Housing is the leading provider of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* (LGBT*) housing, advice, advocacy, care and support in the UK.
Services include supported accommodation, housing advice services and specialist projects that focus on youth, older people,rough sleepers and domestic violence and abuse. We also provide training, carry out research and lobby at a strategic level on the housing issues affecting our communities. Join us and become a member of our growing team. We are looking for a communications officer who is committed to supporting LGBT* people who maybe homeless or living in housing need. The person we appoint to this role will already have strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as having the ability to work creatively.
Part time temporary communications worker – (ref PTTCW)
£18,522 including Inner London Weighting Pro Rata (14 hours per week) Scale 12
(for 2 months initially - to be reviewed)

Task Plan
  • To work with direction from the Office Manager and Development Manager
  • To assist with reviewing and implementing the Communications Plan
  • To resolve functionality issues with LGBT DAF website
  • To add a link page from Stonewall Housing to LGBT DAF and LGBT Jigsaw and vice versa
  • To create newsletters and distribute via MailChimp
  • To assist with review of branding guidelines forthe organisation
  • To research and assist with corporateand individual donorgiving development
  • To set up Eventbrite ticketing information for events and conferences
  • To assist in creating seasonal campaigns to increase individualdonations
  • To assistwith social media messaging/communications plan
  • To assist with the development of volunteer recruitment to key roles identified as part of the Volunteer Strategy
  • To comply with Stonewall Housing policies (Diversity, Lone Working, Health and Safety, Confidentiality etc)
  • Other duties as agreed with line manager
  • May involve evenings and weekends work
Skills
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Eventbrite, MailChimp, social media, Word Press blogging and website software. Basic knowledge of Salesforce would be beneficial, but training will be given.
