The Hispanic Dental Association Foundationis committed to supporting students through the educational process by awarding grants and scholarships to individuals with strong support from corporate partners and individual donors: Colgate-Palmolive, Proctor & Gamble, A-dec, Dr. Juan Villareal, Dr. Esperanza Rodriguez and HDA members. Applicants should show commitment and dedication in improving and serving the oral health of the Hispanic community.

2016-2017 Scholarship Program

For A Dental Residency or Specialty Program

Funded by Colgate-Palmolive Company

The intent of thisScholarship Program is to support promising students training in an accredited Dental Residency or Dental Specialty Program, including Dental Public Health, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics, Pathology, and Radiology. Scholarships of $4,000 will be awarded to support meritorious work by students who seek to advance their scientific and applied clinical knowledge as they continue their journey through the oral health profession and their chosen Dental Residency or Specialty Program.
These scholarships are open to members of the Hispanic Dental Association and Hispanic Student Dental Association who have been accepted or enrolled into an accredited Residency program. Students must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in an oral health related field (Dentistry, Medicine, Dental Hygiene, etc.) from a US school or abroad. Students must attend the November 28, 2016 HDAF scholarship reception in New York City for scholarship acceptance.

Maximum award: $4,000 for Dental Residency students. In addition, a Scholarship package will be provided to include a $500 travel reimbursement and complimentary meeting registration. Follow directions on the applicationregarding completion and return.

The intent of thisScholarship Program is to support promising students during their academic training. Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to Dental Students and $1,000 for Dental Hygiene Students. Scholarships will be awarded to students for meritorious work who seek scientific and applied clinical knowledge during their academic journey of their dental professional program.
These scholarships are open to student members of the Hispanic Dental Association and the Hispanic Student Dental Association who have been accepted or currently enrolled into an accredited dental or dental hygiene program. The intent of thisScholarship Program is to support promising students as they continue through their academic training. Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 for a Dental Student and $500 for a Dental Hygiene Student will be awarded to support meritorious work by students in the state of Texas as they pursue a career in the dental field at an accredited institution in Texas.

These scholarships are open to student members of the Hispanic Dental Association who have been accepted or enrolled into an accredited dental or dental hygiene program in the state of Texas. Students must be a current student member of the Hispanic Dental Association and Hispanic Student Dental Association.

Eligibility for this scholarship includes Dental Students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year and Dental Hygiene students in 1st and 2nd year in the state of Texas.
