During the provisional period, members are trained to become effective volunteers while demonstrating the time availability and commitment necessary for volunteer work through the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta. Provisional members must fulfill the following commitments of membership and placement:
Meeting Attendance:
●Attend the half-day Provisional Training (Tentatively Sunday, August 26, 2018)
●Attend all monthly Fall Provisional Training Sessions during the fiscal year
- Eight meetings between September and May
●Attend five membership meetings that can be any combination of the following:

- December Small Group
- February Membership Event
- May Annual Meeting

Financial and Fundraising Obligation:
●One Time Provisional Course fee of $75 and Annual 2018-2019 dues of $165
●Fall Fundraiser – Contribute towards a Fall fundraiser item ($40)
●Spring Fundraiser - Register one runner for the 2019 Mardi Gras Run ($25)
●Buy two Junior League cookbooks
Volunteer Placement:
●Participate in the Provisional Class Project
●Complete one Done-In-A-Day (DIAD)
●Work one, 4-hour shift for the spring fundraiser (Mardi Gras Run)
Eligibility Requirements:
●Must be a minimum of 22 years old, no maximum age restriction
●Reside or work within a 30 mile radius of Cobb County
●Demonstrate an interest in voluntarism and commitment to community service
●Sign the provisional contract recognizing the time commitment and responsibilities of being a provisional member
