Title:In-Work Support Advisor - Adult Provision

Summary/Purpose: To support individuals to sustain work placements, ensuring meaningful work experience and the development of workplace skills.

Reporting to: Team Leader - Adult Provision

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for providing in-work support and coaching, as required
  • Responsible for providing continuity of contact for the individual and to offer support to overcome any barriers to sustaining employment.
  • Deliver performance against contractual retention KPI’s
  • Responsible for the identification of personal support needs, including signposting to external support agencies, providing pastoral support and point of contact for any safeguarding issues
  • Accountable for developing coaching agreements with employers and reviewing progress
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with employers
  • Responsible for dealing with complaints and queries in a timely and effective manner
  • Completion of administrative tasks as required in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
  • To comply with monthly contractual procedures, requirements and compliance standards
  • Promote other Itec programmes as a positive progression opportunities for individuals e.g. Apprenticeships

Person Specification

Essential / Desirable
Experience & Qualifications / Experience of working with unemployed adults
Customer Service & Sales Experience
Full Driving Licence and use of own vehicle
Employer engagement / Experience within training industry / DWP Sector
Learning Coach L4 Qualification or with the potential and willingness to work towards
Skills / Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Organisational skills
IT Skills / Negotiating skills
Fluent in Welsh
Knowledge / Local labour market knowledge
Training Industry knowledge
Characteristics / Self-motivated
Versatile.
