14- 20 / Describe the learning activity you did this week.
This week I began the Career Exploration Activity. I decided to research becoming a Marketing teacher. I chose to learn more about this profession because I loved my marketing class in high school so much!  I completed half the worksheet and uploaded in to my digital work folder in Google Classroom.
What did you learn?
I learned about the primary skills needed to become a teacher. They have to enjoy communicating with others, be organized, be able to motivate students, and foster a conducive learning environment. I also learned about what their professional tasks and responsibilities are. They must plan, prepare, deliver and assess daily lessons. They must also work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators. In addition, they must meet State and National educational standards. It is not an easy job, that’s for sure! 
How can you apply this experience in future situations?
I hope to be a teacher someday so this knowledge can help me consider options and determine if teaching is a good fit for me.
INSTRUCTIONS:
CVE Weekly Reflection - As students involved in work-based learning activities, it is important to reflect on what you have experienced and learned each week.
This helps to internalize the learning and skills you have developed and promotes self-awareness and personal assessment.
Reflection refers to the process of thinking critically about your experiences. It is in the act of reflecting that you form understanding from the experience, and extend that understanding to other situations, and come to "own" the knowledge you have acquired.
A thorough reflection should completely answer all three of the questions shown in the template, using complete sentences.
What’s in it for me?
The benefits from participation in work based learning programs include, but are not limited to:
• improving academic/employability skills
• providing realistic learning experiences that help to develop interests/abilities
• developing problem-solving skills, self-confidence, self-discipline, and responsibility
• developing human relations skills through personal interaction with employers, customers, clients, and mentors
enhancing future employment opportunities!!! 

*WBL Activity - If you are not employed, you must choose at least one of these (per semester) and it will be used to complete the Work-based Learning Reflection for your Career Portfolio. See the list of options for more detail.
