PMC Class Summaries – Fall 2008
10/18/08: Rings (9am -1 pm), $45 + supplies
This is a basic ring class. Several techniques will be discussed and demonstrated, and you will be introduced to making your own ring molds. You will learn how to make true-to-size rings every time. Class fee is $45 plus supplies. Call to sign up , as class size is limited. You must pre-register for this class.
11/1/08: Bronze Clay (9am – 4pm), $125 + supplies
This class involves working with the newest clay on the market -- bronze clay. Because bronze clay must be fired overnight, you will complete all your pieces only to the pre-fired stage at the first meeting. You can return to the studio to finish these pieces, or if you are comfortable with finishing clay (burnishing/polishing/tumbling), they can be mailed to you for completion. There would be no additional charge if you wish to come to the studio to complete the pieces during Open Studio time, nor would there be postage if you want them mailed. More information will be available upon request. Call to reserve your spot, as class size is limited. Cost of this class is $125, plus cost of your clay.
11/29/08: Hollow Forms (9am – 4pm), $95 + supplies
This workshop demonstrates the techniques of creating hollow forms with metal clay. You will learn how to make your own hollow form molds, then apply the clay to the molds prior to firing. You will have several projects to choose from and can make as many as you want within the course of the day. You could make beads, pendants, earrings and more with this technique. Cost of this workshop is $95. Call for more information or to reserve your space. Class size is limited.
12/27/08: Glass (9am – 4pm), $95 + supplies
This workshop demonstrates the technique of working with glass and pmc. You will be making a pendant or earrings (both, if you wish) and will complete your project during the class. Cost of this workshop is $95 plus supplies (clay and glass). Call for more information and to reserve your space. Class size is limited.
