Hello all,

The nights are fair drawing out and yet there still never seems to be enough hours in the day. The main focus of this newsletter is to invite members to put forward their names for the Area Horse Trials Qualifier on the 21st and 22nd May at Philforth, Fraserburgh. Please fill in and return the enclosed sheet if you are interested – we need to enter by the 10th of May so there is no time to dilly dally. If your not sure whats involved then please give me a call and I’ll try to help.

The qualifier for Showjumping, Dressage, Riding Test and Equitation Jumping will be at Burgie on the 9th and 10th July. An team application is also enclosed for this event. This form should be returned by the 20th May.

Area 22 Camp

The camp was a great success with a large contingent of SDRC members taking part. Check out the website for photos from the weekend and a full report will appear in the next newsletter – its currently being edited for legal reasons!!!

Lets hope Marjory hasn’t been put off and can be persuaded to organise another camp for us and our ponies next year.

Irish Trip

A planning meeting has taken place – Marjory Norrie, Cameron Miller, Ali Lothian, Donna Webster and Lee Wright are hoping to go to Ireland. They are going to be fundraising for the trip so beware. Anyone who wants to sponsor the team then please get in touch with Ali (01575-574401)

Summer Instruction

Regular sessions of instruction have been organised at Gardyne throughout the summer to tie into the Showjumping and Dressage Leagues.

Cross Country Instruction

A day has been organised for the 28th of May at Auchlishie.

Use of the Field at Gardyne

Members can use the field at Gardyne at any time over the summer. Please phone Debbie Low on 01241-828752 to arrange. Debbie will make sure that the ground conditions are okay and that the field is not being used by anyone else. For health & safety reasons you cannot use the field if you are on your own.
