A resolution accepting thelowest responsible bid ofTask Force, LLC., Bid No. 50-101842,to provide a three (3) year contract, for grass cutting (smooth cut areas) for Jefferson Parish Department of Public Works – ParkwaysDepartment. Expenditures shall not exceed $1,500,000.00 for the three (3) year contract and compensation shall not exceed this amount by a factor of more than 10% without amendment to the contract authorized by resolution of the Council. (Parishwide)
WHEREAS, expenditures under the current two (2) year contract (RP-182) covering the period of 2/24/2010 – 02//23/2012), Proposal No. RFP 182 with Ramelli Janitorial Service Inc., are $4,323,626.92 thru 11/17/2011, and;
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department received eight bids: C. Bud Taulli Construction Inc., Ramelli Janitorial Service Inc., Cypress Land Management, LLC, Rotolo Consultants, Inc., Corporate Green, LLC, Task Force LLC, Green Scapes of Louisiana, Inc., and H & O Investments, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, C. Bud Taulli was a “no bid” and the bid for Green Scapes of Louisiana, Inc.was rejected due to a price error.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson Parish Council of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, acting as governing authority of said Parish:
SECTION 1.That thelowest responsible bid of Task Force, LLC, Bid No. 50-101842, to provide a three (3) year contract, for grass cutting (smooth cut areas) for Jefferson Parish Department of Public Works – Parkways Department, be and is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. That the Purchasing Department is hereby authorized to issue a contract/purchase order for said services in accordance with the terms of the bid proposal and this resolution during the interim signing of the contract, not to exceed 60 days.
SECTION 3. That the contract cap shall not exceed$1,500,000.00 for the three (3) year contract period and compensation shall not exceed this amount by a factor of more than 10% without amendment to the contract authorized by resolution of the Council for Jefferson ParishDepartment of Public Works – Parkways Department.
SECTION 4.That all expenditures incurred shall be charged to Account No.7344.5, Grass cutting (of the User Department).
SECTION 5. That the Chairman of the Jefferson Parish Council, or in his absence, the Vice-Chairman, be and is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to sign and execute a contract and all related documents with Task Force, LLC.
