Registration information 2016-2017

Welcome to St. John’s Methodist School for Little Children. We’re glad you have joined our school family. Since you are planning for your child to attend our school, please fill out and return this application form. The classes will be offered according to the demand indicated by the number of applicants. The date and time you return this form to our office will help determine your child’s placement in a class.

Classes Offered

2 ½ yr. old – These students must be 2 ½ years old before Sept. 1, 2016. Completely potty trained is preferable (wearing regular underwear only; pull ups are not allowed in our program).

3 years old, 4 years old, and Kindergarten – Students should register in the class determined by their age as of September 1, 2016.

*The classes will be formed according to the greatest need.

Hours & Days of Attendance

Kindergarten will meet from 8:30 – 2:00, Monday – Friday

Preschool will meet from 8:30 – 2:00

Child Care will be available 6:45am-5:30pm

Children wishing to attend 3 days will come Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Children are welcome to attend all 5 days

Departure Time

Children are to be picked up on time. There is a Late Fee of $15.00 for each 15 minutes or portion of 15 minutes after pick up time.

A school calendar will be provided after the March meeting of St. John’s School Board, our school calendar closely follows the Lamar Consolidated School District calendar.

Food and Rest

Food

St. John’s School will provide a morning snack to your children. You will need to pack a lunch with a drink for your child. If he/she stays for our Child Care program, you will also include an afternoon snack. Be sure to write your child’s name on the outside of his/her lunch kit (this makes everyone’s lunchtime better). Please do not send candy or soda. A chilling pack must be included if food items must stay cool (yogurt, cheese).

Child Care Rest

Naps are included in each child’s daily schedule if they attend our 2 ½ ‘s, 3’s, or 4’s classes. Our kindergarten class will not nap. St. John’s School will provide the mat for nap, along with a container for nap materials. Each child is asked to bring: 1 crib sheet, 1 flat receiving blanket, a small beanie baby sized toy. No pillows, please.
