Umtshezi Municipality hereby invites Tenderers for the Repairs of the Storm Water line and rehabilitation of road surfaces in Phillip Street, Estcourt

Only Tenderers with Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) category and classification grading as indicated above will be considered for award.

This tender will be evaluated on the 80/20 preferential procurement policy framework (PPPFA), notwithstanding that the evaluation will also examine the experience of the tenderer which must be submitted with proof of experience in the form of the “Practical Completion Certificates” or “Final Completion Certificates” of previous projects of similar size and nature.

Tenderers need to score a minimum of 70 % in terms of the “Pre-qualification” before the tender is considered for further evaluation. This project intends to promote the following in the execution of the contract:

·  The use of unemployed men and woman in the unskilled and semi-skilled labour force, with preference being given to local residents.

The tender documents will be available from the 27 till 29 July 2015, tenderers can make the reservation of the documents with the office of the SCM Manager prior to the briefing date, and the pre-requisition fee of R300 must be paid to the Municipal finance department prior the collection of the documents. The tender documents must be in the position of the tenderer prior commencement of the briefing. A compulsory briefing session to be held at Umtshezi Municipality offices, Civic building, Victoria Street, Estcourt on 29 July 2015 at 10:00 noon.

Sealed Tender documents marked with a relevant “Tender name and Tender Number” must be deposited in the Tender box at the Umtshezi Municipal offices no later than 12h00 noon on the 05 August 2015 where after all tenders will be opened in public. Emailed, faxed and late submissions will not be considered and the Municipality shall not be held responsible for any couriered documents.

The Umtshezi Municipality subscribes to the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2012, pertaining to the preferential procurement policy framework act (PPPFA) principles whereby a tenderer’s submission will be evaluated according to the sum of the award of points in respect of the tender value and the B-BBEE status of the contributor. A valid ORIGINAL Tax Clearance Certificate MUST be submitted with the tender document.
