Currently, we are working on really understanding place value. This understanding of the number system is so crucial to most of what we will do the rest of this year and really forever. We are working on rounding to the nearest ten and hundred as well as being able to add and subtract large number in the thousands using multiple strategies. Soon we will move into fractions.
Watch for information coming soon about Study Island as well as an after school math and reading club for those who need a little extra support.

We are “Rockin’ it Out” in science.
And in social studies we are finishing up talking about physical and political maps using a compass rose, alphanumeric grid, title and map key. We are making a salt dough map of Ohio!
We will be starting to talk about primary and secondary sources of information and change in the community through time lines.
