Qualifications/Accreditation;
Students’ can be offered ASDAN short courses which accredit 10 to 60 hours of activities. Because they are multi-level, the focus is on completing challenges and skills development according to individual ability, rather than attainment at a specific level. 60 hours Short Courses can count as up to 6 of the credits needed to achieve CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness).

Farm and woodland based learning and enrichment provision utilizing natures environment, assisting diverse groups of young people, including those with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and with S E N; on a journey of discovery. ‘Learning by doing’, to enhance communication, increase confidence, raise self-esteem, develop motivation and problem solve. Young people are given opportunities to experience; taking responsibility, making decisions, working together and independently on a range of facilitated outdoor tasks/activities to develop healthier lifestyles and choices along with transferable skills and positive attitudes to learning.
Getting young people back in-tune with self, others and their environments using a ‘back to basics’ approach to meet the objectives; enhancing young people’s skills and abilities to implement change in their lives.
Courses run from 6 weeks over a school term, half day sessions per week day or can be for whole academic year. Other options available, bespoke tailored made courses to suit your requirements and the needs of all young people.
Programmes;
Field to Fork Initial Team Day Experience – Group
A Team Development Day with a difference challenging and raising awareness of where and how our food is produced.
Groups – Minimum 6 maximum 10.
Woodland low level rope team challenge, meet and feed the pigs, crop identification challenge, make your own sausages, seasonal; home or away challenge, the great taste challenge.
The Tune-in - Group
A 6 week facilitated woodland based learning and enrichment course of up to 6 students. Half a day session a week am or pm. Bush and camp craft, team challenge activities, cooking over open campfire and clay oven. Tailored syllabus and activities to meet the needs of all individuals in the group.
The Tune-in 1 – 1 intervention
A 6 week woodland based solution focussed course of half a day session per week, am or pm for individual students on improving self-esteem, confidence and repairing negative relationships. A camp fire to provide the perfect back drop for problem free talk whilst undertaking woodland tasks.
Pick n Mix – Animal Care &Horticulture – Group/Individual
(Work experience opportunities)
A 6 week farm based course. Up to 6 students half a day session per week, am or pm. Assisting farm animal feeding, donkey grooming. Sowing and harvesting vegetables, herbs and fruit inside polytunnel.
Tune–in off-site sessions & workshops
School services available upon request for student intervention tailored support for individuals and groups on a range of topical issues; anger management, mediation, conflict resolution, developing social skills group work module.
1
