Dear Learner,

Thank you for your interest inStep On International Relations and South East Asia. The programme will take place at SOAS between Monday 23rd and Friday 27th October 2017. We will start at 10 am and finish at 4.00 pm.

The Step On programme is a cross-curricular week long activity with a strong focus on learning and study skillsthat can be used across subjects. It is aimed at students who think they have the potential to achieve the highest marks and are willing to be challenged. As part of the course you will attend workshops and debates, you will work with current university students and will be expected to complete individual and team projects.

This programme is free of charge but you are expected to attend all sessions. Your teacher’s signature, confirming your availability, is also essential for a successful application.

Please note that should you decide to apply to study at SOAS, SOAS will recognise your successful involvement in Step-On by prioritising your application to study here. This prioritisation of your application is likely to involve making you a conditional offer with lower entry criteria grades than usual.

The deadline for submiting your completed application is 15th October 2017. SOAS will re-imburse your travel expenses.

We look forward to hearing from you but don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Renata Albuquerque
