TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Facilities: EMU University Commons Gymnasium, 7 tables, wood floor, good lighting, locker rooms and showers, spectators welcome.
Categories (based upon your Virginia or USATT rating): U-1400, 1300-1700, 1600+, Juniors*, Women*, (*may also enter ratings events). Participants may enter several categories.
Format: Maximum of 20 entries per event so don’t procrastinate; actual number of entries will determine competition format, but will probably start with round robin and proceed to bracketed finals; matches will be best of 5 games to 11; Winner and Runner-Up awards in each event. Players can expect 7-10 matches.
Cost: full-time students are $5.00 per category entered; non-students are $15.00for one event, and $25.00 for two; non refundable.
Registration Deadline: Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010.
Schedule: Warm-upsat8 AM; Competition times are U-1400 9 AM; 1300-1700 9:30 AM; 1600+ 10 AM; Juniors Women 1 PM.
Lunch Options: There are vending machines and water fountains in the Commons building. Within 1 mile of campus: Mr. J’s, Dairy Queen, Subway, Fox Pizza, Dunkin Donuts,Traditions Restaurant (sit-down), and China Express. You may also bring snack food/bagged lunch, or visit the EMU Dining Room (cafeteria style, $5.50, open Saturdays10:30 AM to 1 PM).
Directions from the North: I-81 south to Exit 251; left/south on Rte. 11; right at Mt. Clinton Pike (light), through Kratzer Rd. (light) and Virginia Ave. (light); right on Park Rd.; University Commons building ¼ mile on the left (large brick building with a white rail balcony over the main entrance).
Directions from the South: I-81 north to Exit 245: left on Port Republic Rd.; through town, then right/north on High St./Rte. 42 (4th light); through town, then left on Mt. Clinton Pike (7thlight); right on Park Rd.; University Commons building ¼ mile on left (large brick building w/ white rail balcony over the main entrance).
