SpamTitan on Premise
Installation:
With SpamTitan on Premise, you have the option of installing our SpamTitan software in house in a virtual environment, or on a physical node. When you sign up you will be brought to a link where you can download an ISO, VMware image or USB stick image.

Configuration:
Firstly you need to load your License on the System Setup > Licensing tab
The main configuration on SpamTitan on premise is on the System Setup > Mail Relay > Domains tab. Here you add your domain, Destination (mail) Server and you Verification type. We would also recommend enabling the front line tests outlined on in this document:

Admin Control:
SpamTitan on Premise gives you full control over SpamTitan, your admin login has full global privileges over every setting. The entire product is outlined on the following link:
End User Interaction
With you having full global administrator privileges you can give end users as much or as little Interaction with your SpamTitan install as you wish. Generally once Quarantine Reports are enabled and users can receive these, they can control their quarantine from their own email accounts.

SpamTitan Private Cloud
Installation:
SpamTitan Private Cloud is installed by our Technicians to suit you requirements in a location of your liking e.g. European Datacentersor USA Datacenters.
Configuration:
Your License is loaded for you and your server will have all updates installed when you are presented with your login.
These servers will also have our DNS servers in use that are guaranteed to give correct responses to all DNS requests including URIBL checks.
We also have RBL servers that only our DNS servers can query and these are very effective.
Admin Control:
Again you have complete admin control over these servers. We will already have enabled a number of the main front line tests but we would recommend that you look through our essential configuration guide:
End User Interaction:

SpamTitan Cloud
Installation:
There is no installation required by you these are prebuilt servers.
Configuration:
All you need to add is your Domain, Destination server and Verification Type (Dynamic is recommended)
Admin Control:
All SpamTitan Cloud customers are given a Domain Group Administrator account to start. They use this to add their domain/s. They then assign themselves (or another user) as the Domain Administrator for that domain and use that role for day-to-day administration of that domain.
When you sign up for SpamTitan Cloud you will receive a password to allow you to log on (your username will be the email address you provided). This is your Domain Group Administrator account.
You have domain level admin privileges. Our Technicians are the global administrators, for all global settings.
You have domain level admin privileges and domain group level, if you have multiple domains. This link is very useful in understanding roles:
End User Interaction:
End users are not permitted to login to our cloud servers, this is due to the load that this would put on the servers. Also end users can control their quarantine from the quarantine reports sent everyday to users with Spam in their Quarantine area.
