South Hackney Parochial Charities
Application for grant funding to an Individual
History, objectives and activitiesof South Hackney Parochial Charities
South Hackney Parochial Charities were constituted under a trust deed dated 6th November 1900 as varied by the Charity Commission Scheme dated
27th September 1968.
Although the charities’ main objective is the upkeep of the almshouses and other properties, a major objective is the promotion of education and the relief of need in the Parish of South Hackney.
Who we are, what we hope to do, when we meet.
The South Hackney Parochial Charities are managed by a Board of Trustees who are local people with an interest in the community. We are keen to involve more people and anyone interested in being considered to join the Board should contact the Clerk to the Trustees (see below)
The trustees meet four times a year to consider applications for grants.
We consider two main types of grant funding;
1. to individuals
2. to organisations
Applications for grants to local organisations:
We welcome applications for funding from local organisations who may have good ideas for new projects which will benefit local people of all ages and which cannot be funded by statutory bodies.
All applications must be in writing – please ask the clerk for a Grant to an Organisation Application Form.
Applications for grants to individuals:
Applications for funding individuals of all ages may come from a professional representing an individual living in the area who is in particular financial need or from individuals themselves
Please complete this form.
Criteria- what South Hackney Parochial Charities does and doesn’t fund.
