In addition to being a senior consulting partner for The Ken Blanchard Companies®, Dick has 25 years of experience as a business keynote speaker, researcher and author. He has worked with Tom Peters, Gordon Lippitt, and Shawn Achor. He served as a regular columnist for Sales and Marketing Magazine, and has been published in Training and Development, Western Business Systems Journal, Proceedings of the Academy of Management, and Executive Excellence. A past chapter president of Sales and Marketing Executives, he has also been a member of the International Customer Service Association, the National Speakers Association, and the American Society for Training and Development.

Dick is particularly strong in two areas … fresh business content and an entertaining, humorouspresentation style. He has a solid background studying and teaching organizations,in a broad expanse of industries. He has monitored how they grow, how they maintain excellent performance, and how they continue to improve. He is a recognized expert on human performance, offering messages that are based on newdata, including take-aways and practical tools that can be put to immediate use by attendees.

With management experience in the private and public sectors, Dick offers time-proven, common sense ways for people to hone their skills and reach their full potential - all within a high-spirited, enthusiastic learning atmosphere.

He previously served as Program Director for Leadership and Management Development in the U.S. Department of Transportation.He also was VP of Sales and Marketing at the Center for Leadership Studies. His education includes a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MBA, and a doctorate in Human Resource Development from the George Washington University. With Ken Blanchard, he co-authored Know Can Do!, a best selling business leadership book published by Berrett-Koehler.
