GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Highland dancing will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing.
Complete entries, with fees, received by August 5, 2013will be sent entry confirmation materials and competitor gate pass. Received after that date, competitor will pay an $8.00 late fee at Games’ day Dance Registration. Do not send entry form “signed delivery confirmation”. The decisions of the adjudicators are final in all matters pertaining to the competition.
Ages will be computed as of the day before competition. Proof of age must be furnished if requested. Primary, Beginners and Novice will dance in the morning. The events will begin with Primary PDB’s & PDB’s & High Cuts, followed by the Lilt.
Trophies will be awarded to the winner in each Pre-Premier and Premier category except Primary. To be eligible for “Dancer of the Day”, there must be six dancers in an age group. If there is more than one eligible dancer, they will dance to judges’ choice.
We would appreciate and welcome all trophy winners and Dancer of the Day to be present at the Closing Massed Bands.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the Competition will commence promptly at 10 a.m. Intermediate and Premier categories will start promptly at 1:30 p.m.
