Requirements of Membership

  • All members must participate in Officer of the Day duties for two days

during the summer. Please specify your top three weekends or choose two days during one of our sail schools. Racing weekends run from June 3- September 10 inclusive. Sail weeks are: July 5-7 (4.7 Clinic)

July 8-9 (Opti School)

July 10-12 Laser Racing; July 13-14 Wind, Women and Wine.

  • All members are expected to participate in either the work weekend to prepare the site for the season in May or the clean-up weekend in September. Dates will be circulated to members as they are finalized each year.
  • Each Regular Member is entitled to a campsite. If not available, a site may be cleared but there must be approval from the Membership Chairperson.
  • Members are expected to keep their campsites clean. Garbage/litter must not be thrown into the biffies.
  • Upon termination of membership, members must remove all cabintrailers, boats, dollies and boat trailers.
  • Dogs must be under the control and supervision of the owner at all times. For the health and safety of everyone walking on the club’s grounds and beach

area, it is the owner’s responsibility to “poop scoop”.

  • Personal guests of Regular Members are welcome provided they are accompanied by the member. Guests visiting more than occasionally should consider applying for a membership.

RELEASE: I agree to save harmless the Saskatoon Sailing Club, its associations, organizers, agents, officials, servants and representatives from and against all claims, actions, expenses and demands in respect to death, injury, loss or damages to me or my property howsoever caused arising out of connection with taking part in events or using property, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or caused or occasioned by the negligence of the same bodies, or any of them, or their agents, officials, servants or representatives. I further understand and agree that this release is binding upon myself, my heirs, my executors, and assigns. I also understand that I am responsible for damages and behavior of myself, children, guests, pets and I am liable for payment to the Saskatoon Sailing Club for damages to any property. I will read and follow the guidelines set out by the Saskatoon Sailing Club as outlined in the Bylaws.
