Treasurer’s Report / Current balance: $9,215.22
Outstanding invoices: $307
§ Outstanding bill: May meeting at the Clarion Hotel.
§ Donation to SHRM Foundation: $350.00
Membership Update / § Angela Dow (approved)
Membership Ratification / § Nancy acknowledged the membership ratification of updated by-laws.
Membership Election / § Nancy acknowledged the membership election of the 2011 officers.
Review Next Speaker Status / a. September Meeting Speaker
§ Sara Christiansen will be the speaker for the Value-Added HR: Pathway to Sustained Credibility topic on September 16th.
§ Non-members will be charged $35.00 for this meeting.
b. November Presentation
§ Michelle Schick agreed to be the speaker for this month’s meeting.
SHRM Updates / a. State Conference
§ Registration for the upcoming SHRM State Conference to be held in Duluth is now open
b. Chapter Basket
§ RHRA will donate a basket to be auctioned at the State Conference.
c. Speakers
§ MN SHRM has now the list of speakers posted on their web site. Speakers of the RHRA monthly meeting will be asked if they would like to be added to the list
Old Business / a. Member Survey
§ Emmy to send draft of survey to Board Members for comments.
b. RSVP Difficulties
§ Members will be reminded to abide by the monthly meeting registration deadline.
New Business/Round Table / a. Upcoming conference calls/webinars for attendance
§ Board members gave updates on the seminars/webinars they have attended.
b. Networking Potential at Membership Meeting
§ Mel will research ice breaker activities to be introduced during the monthly membership meeting as part of the networking activities.
c. Recruitment Campaign
§ A plan will be put together to launch a membership campaign to bring more members in.
