PWR Events and The Royal Parks are thrilled to announce that London’sspectacular Christmas destination -Hyde Park Winter Wonderlandwill celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, with an array of new attractions and entertainment. Returning on 18th November 2016for 6-weeks of festive-fuelled fun, visitors will be able to experience the UK’s no.1 Christmas destination with FREE entry onto the site, and the return of much-loved attractions that have become a tradition for Londoners, visitors and touristsalike. Tickets are on sale now for the main attractions andmoreexciting new attractions, shows and rides will be announced soon.

Celebrate 10 Years of… Festive Traditions

For 10 years, guests have flocked to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland to enjoy a host of Christmas traditions.

Head over to the UK’s largest outdoor Ice Rink,stretching over 1,600m2. This will once again be located around the picturesque Victorian bandstand, on which there will be live music played throughout the day and nightas skaters take to the ice for a spin. For those who want to gaze at the action from above,the iconic Giant Observation Wheel will illuminate the skyline.

New this year, the Magical Ice Kingdom presents An Arctic Adventure – a thrilling experience takingadults and children on a voyage across the sea to a frozen island. Guests will see icebergs, a shipwreck trapped in an arctic ice flow, and will be able to explore a lost island on their search for the Palace of the Polar Bears. On your journey, go fishing with the Inuits, take refuge in an igloo and have your photo taken with a giant polar bear. Filled to the brim with awe-inspiring snow and ice sculptures, the Magical Ice Kingdom is the biggest ice and snow sculpture experience of its kind in the UK.

Winter Wonderlandis also perfect for those looking to do some Christmas shopping whilst soaking up the festive atmosphere. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland boasts a traditional German Christmas marketwith over 200 chalets. The Angels Christmas Market and Fairies Market offer unusual and handmade gifts and crafts, including ceramics, candles, jewellery, wooden toys, nativity scenes and Christmas decorations.

Once you’ve bought gifts for all your family and friends, head over to the hugely popular Bavarian Village.Relax in the Bavarian Beer Gardens with covered seating, outdoor bars, cafes and food stalls. There’s Bratwurst aplenty, assorted grills, plus traditional dishes in the sit-down restaurants. Enjoy a mulled wine, hot cider or beer from one of the outdoor bars, or warm up with a hot chocolate.At night, enjoy the festive atmosphere in the Bavarian Hall. With free live music, join the sing-a-long to Oom-pah bands and dance the night away. It’s the perfect destination for after work socializing.

For those who want to wander around taking in the sites, there is a host of food and drink available around the venue, with a range of themed stands, bars, cafes and even sit-down restaurants. Rest assured that wherever you go you’re never far away from the smell of mulled wine!

Christmas is most definitely a time for family, and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland provides the perfect place to enjoy some festive family fun. The range of attractions on offer allow for maximum time to spend with the kids, with more entertainment than ever for all the family to enjoy.

The UK’s favourite circus, Zippos Circus returns with their ever-popular daytime show,Zippos Christmas Circus, a perfect treat for all the family!This year’s spectacular features aerial acts, acrobatics, jugglers and comedy clowns.Fun-packed from start to finish and at 45 minutes, it’s the perfect length for little ones. The show will be housed once again in the Mega Dome, the biggest circus venue in the UK standing over 65ft tall; designed especially for Winter Wonderland.In the evenings there’s the jaw-dropping daredevil show, Cirque Berserk.

A family Christmas would of course not be complete without, Father Christmas. Take a trip over toSanta Land, a haven for young visitors, where Father Christmas is free to visit. He will be at Santa Land every day until 6pm with his Elves and a sack of free gifts.

There’s also a Traditional Fairgroundwith beautiful Victorian-style carousel, helter skelter and fun rides that kids and parents alike will love.

New this year for the tots, direct from Children’s ITV, Sooty makes his debut at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in The Sooty Christmas Show.Joining the nation’s favourite bear will be Sweep, Soo and Sooty’s TV partner Richard Cadell. A spectacular mix of magic, music and mess. Showing at 11am every day it will bring guaranteed giggles for Sooty fans old and new!
