I am dr Suresh Sharma from Alwar Rajasthan. I am contesting for the post of IAP President elect this year. I have been active in IAP for more than 30 years. I have worked at every type of medical setup from dispensary to Medical College and international NGO to military hospital. I have been in Central EB during 2008 and 2012 and Got FIAP. I have undergone MCH course (maternal and Child Health course) from school of tropical medicine Liverpool and NIHFW Delhi.
I am extrovert, sincere and hard worker by nature .I have got basic instinct to take people along with.
my agenda for work will be ....
1. practical and effective programs for children to decrease NMR ,IMR and ultimately under five mortality involving pediatricians, Central and state governments for this.
2. we will work for single GOI-IAP immunization schedule and inclusion of all essential vaccines like typhoid, pneumococcal, Varicella with Central Government funding.
3. 50 to 70% children and mother are anemic. we will evolve effective anaemia treatment and control programme.
4. one day CME at district level, for teaching the approach and essential knowledge of Ten common childhood diseases and providing them concise booklet.
