Architect, implement and support TCP/IP, VTAM, NCP in an IBM z/OS (OS/390, MVS) environment, including IBM 3745 processors and Open System Adapters. Responsible for installation, implementation and maintenance of several program products, including Connect: Enterprise (TRACS, Mailbox), TPX, and Netview/Access Services. Supported EDI transaction processing between The Kroger Company and various service providers. Responsible for all TCP/IP components, including Telnet, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, OSA/Express2, OSA/ICC, static & dynamic VIPA, OSPF, USS, IBM OpenSSH, Apache, Tomcat. Other supported products include NPM, NtuneMon, and Connect:Direct (NDM). Interfaced with various z/OS operating system and hardware support teams, as well as third party software, hardware and service providers. Interfaced with teams which provide LAN and WAN support, Ethernet and token ring network support (both mainframe and LAN), and router and firewall support.

Managed project to migrate all NCP connectivity from 3745's to Enterprise Extender, and to Cisco routers running SNA Switching Services. Managed project to evaluate conversion of legacy 3270 applications to a web interface using modernization tools such as Rocket Software's LegaSuite and GT Software's Ivory Service Architect. Managed implementation of DB2/DDF using dynamic VIPA's. Managed project to consolidate several mainframe IP subnets into a single, uniform IP structure using virtual IP's.
