Imagine you…Transforming Lives
Imagine a future day when the citizens of Kazakhstan live in a country that has a rapidly growing economy with faster and more efficient fund utilization. Citizens can now sit down at their computers for the first time and do things like pay their taxes online. Now imagine that you are a part of the development team that helped to make that all happen. It feels good, doesn't it?
KairatUmarov, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the US and his delegation visited our Alisa Viejo office on Thursday, March 21st. This was an initial visit to get acquainted and learn more about the capabilities of UST Global.
Kazakhstan is the 9th largest country in the world and one of the fastest-growing economies among the Commonwealth of Independent States. It is the economic anchor of Eurasia and Central Asia. Kazakhstan boasts rich natural resources and growing agricultural and technology sectors.
Recently, Kazakhstan launched a national program which aims to put the country among the top 30 global economies by 2050. Strategy2050, upheld by Kazakh President NursultanNazarbayev, has set information technology as one of the priority sectors within the program. To accomplish such large goals within Strategy 2050, Kazakhstan plans to bolster the country's information technology capabilities.
The Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) stated that the Kazakhstan information and communication technologies (ICT) sector stands at about 6% of the value added in the business sector that is overwhelmingly dominated by telecommunications. The Government of Kazakhstan has pledged to put in place measures to foster ICT development, including a special focus on information technology. A snapshot of business success stories in Kazakhstan can be reviewed here.
According to Invest.Gov, companies such as Microsoft, HSBC, and Chevron have seen the potential and have invested in the country. These investments are driven by transparent markets, a stable government and adherence to the rule of law and democracy. Kazakhstan boasts a modern infrastructure, hospitable people, and a booming economy. Aspiring to the future while honoring its cultural traditions, Kazakhstan is a country that successfully realizes the huge creative potential in the modern highly-competitive world.
As an international private sector IT organization with an aggressive Sovereign Strategy in Mexico and Spain, UST Global drew the attention of the Kazakhstani government, resulting in our new relationship with Kazakhstan. What is UST Global's Sovereign Strategy for Kazakhstan?
•Hire 1500-2000 full time employees by 2016
•Build a CoE that helps Kazakhstan build their eco-system
•Bring effective solutions for eGovernance which is of critical interest to the Kazakhstani government
The next level of delegates to visit our Aliso Viejo office is expected by March 31st or April 1st, and by May or June we may be sending UST Global representatives to Kazakhstan.

Only two more days to March 28th and the next big Step IT Up America event arrives—the launch in Los Angeles. Amid casino tables, guests will experience cirque performers, comedians, dancers and musicians all accompanied by a gourmet buffet followed by gaming and dancing. Guests will even be given gambling tokens that will give them a chance to win one of many jackpots at the close of the evening.

NowU organizes International Women’s Day Celebration at Trivandrum Center

International Women’s Day at Trivandrum Center, organized by NowU, was a lineup of memorable events. After the inauguration, the event took off in contemporary style with a flash mob followed by the unveiling of the Women’s Day Banner. Hema Menon, Trivandrum Center Head, handed over the Yummy Aid Contributions to PrathibhaPoshini, a venture for nurturing young minds. The highlight of the event was the speech from a young girl student from PrathibhaPoshini, articulating what UST Global’s support means to them. Other activities of the event included the naming of the 2013 Yummy Aid award for Best Contributor, which went to the 3S team, and the session on self-defense by Advocate Anu V. Nambalikkaran which was attended with keen interest.
The most exciting part of the day was a “Technopark’s Got Talent” competition, hosted by UST Global and held across all companies in Technopark. There was a huge turnout to witness the talent extravaganza put forth by the different companies. Celebrities VijiThampi and KalamandalamVimala Menon were the judges for the event. The first round involved dance performances depicting the power of women. This was followed by a Quiz and the final round saw teams enact and respond to situations given on the spot. The winning teams were: Allianz in 1st place, Tryzens in 2nd place and UST Global in third place. The program drew to a close with the official vote of thanks.
UST Global also participated in Technopark’s Women’s Day activities which included a pledge and a talk on “Health as the key to a happy life.” A book sale and signing—featuring fiction and non-fiction books by women authors—was held with a special focus on the works of acclaimed Indian author JaishreeMisra.
The Metro Manorama and Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC) organized a Walkathon for Women in Trivandrum, organized around the theme of “Inspiring Change." This event saw hundreds of women, including good participation from our USsociates, walk a 3 KM stretch in a show of support. This event also received good press coverage in daily newspapers such as the Metro Manorama and a national daily, the Hindu. This event was also covered by NDTV.
