RAYHA Mission Statement-
The purposes of our programs are to teach and to promote amateur youth ice hockey, develop good sportsmanship and fair play, and to teach each participant to accept both victory and defeat graciously. Above all we want our youth to have fun. We want to develop individual and team skills, teamwork, knowledge of the game, loyalty, responsibility, and sportsmanship.

All girls are strongly encouraged to play in the girl’s program. Girls are allowed to play in the boy’s program, however once a girl participates in a tryout at any level of the boys program she loses her eligibility to play in the girl’s program for that season. Likewise, once a girl participates in a tryout at any level of the girl’s program she loses her eligibility to play in the boy’s program for that season.The player must notify the travel director and girl’s travel director in writing prior toSeptember 1of their intent to play in the boy’s program.No girl may try out for more than one level of hockey within RAHYA boys or girls. Any girl who registers after tryouts or does not participate in tryouts will be placed on the lowest level team of her appropriate age level.
RHYHA board will be so notified with written confirmation of all girls approved to play on boy’s teams.
Hopkins
Girls playing on boy’s teams is only permitted under the following circumstances: a. The player must play at age appropriate level. b. The player must notify the travel director and girl’s travel director in writing prior toSeptember 1of their intent to play in the boy’s program. c. Once the decision is made to move a girl to the boy’s team she must stay with the boy’s team she is on for the duration of that season. She will NOT be allowed to return to the girl’s program that season. RHYHA board will be so notified with written confirmation of all girls approved to play on boy’s teams.
