Conference background

Globalization, constantly changing social and economic factors, rapid development of information and communication technologies influencing the necessity of changes in education. Question - if changes in education are going in the same temp as in other spheres - is very relevant for many European countries. Level of youth unemployment, quality of education, gap between skills, which pupils gaining at school and those, which they need for successful carrier and/or own business, are those questions, which requires effective and courageous solutions. That is why, we would like to invite representatives of European and Lithuanian education society for common discussion, which, we believe, will help to foresee guidelines of relevant changes.

The aim of the conference

to encourage and to stimulate the positive changes in schools and non-formal education institutions, oriented to consistent development of children and youth personal and social skills - what is the main condition if we want to prepare them for successful life.

Conference participants: Representatives of EAICY members’ organizations (heads of schools, non-formal education institutions, non-governmental organizations, research centers, institutes, education experts, teachers’ development institutions). Representatives of the cities and regions municipalities, responsible for education quality, head of the schools in Lithuania
