INTRODUCTION

Do you like to draw? Do you like frogs? Well, I have a challenge for you!

Let’s make a comic strip about the life cycle of a frog.

THE TASK

You will be working with a partner to complete the following:

·  Label and describe the 5 stages of a frog’s life cycle.

·  Make a comic strip about frogs going through metamorphosis.

THE PROCESS

Follow these steps to complete your task:

1.  Your teacher will match you up with a partner.

2.  You and your partner will go to the following website for information about the life cycle of a frog: http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/amphibians/label/froglifecycle/label.shtml

3.  The website will help you complete the printout (see your teacher for a copy). You will need to do the following things on your print out:

·  Number the stages of the lifecycle.

·  Write a sentence describing what is happening in each stage.

4.  Now that you have done your research, use this information to make a comic strip. The following things should be included in your comic strip:

·  There should be 6 frames in your comic strip.

·  The first frame should have the title and you and your partners’ names.

·  The last 5 frames should include the 5 stages of the life cycle.

·  There should be at least 2 frogs in each frame.

·  The comic needs to take place in a frogs’ natural habitat.

·  The characters need to be talking to each other about the changes they are going through.

·  All 5 stages need to be included.
