This proposal represents a request for only the semester indicated; proposals are considered on a per-term basis. If the class is accepted, you will be notified by the Community Education Office to discuss the exact dates of instruction and your compensation. Submittal of this proposal does not imply a continuing relationship with the Ventura County Community College District.

If you choose to market your own class, please provide the Community Education Office with a copy of your marketing materials.
If this proposal is accepted, you will be providing services as an Independent Contractor.
As such:
- You will be responsible for providing all supplies for use in your class.
- You will be paid on a per-project basis, normally within six weeks after the completion of your class.
- All monies paid to you for services rendered will be taxable income. As an independent contractor, no deductions will be withheld from your check. All reportable income will appear on a Form 1099 as applicable to each tax year.
- You and your employees are not covered under the general liability insurance, employee benefits or worker’s compensation insurance carried by the Ventura County Community College District.
If you are not a full or part-time employee of the Ventura County Community College District, please answer the following three questions to meet State Education Code requirements. A “yes” answer also requires an explanation in a separate document. Convictions do not necessarily disqualify you from teaching, but will be evaluated individually.
