Justification why, instead of the visit, Indian Mission abroad cannot be asked to represent our interests / On the spot knowledge and experience gained by the officer will be tapped by the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms for augmenting handloom exports. This can only be done when a senior officer, who is working for the handloom sector, visits the fair site and gather on the spot scenario during the fair.

4 / Name: Bilateral/ Multilateral/ Private/ Transit / The fair proposed to be participated by Shri Dinesh Singh will be participated by various countries all over the world. Hence, the benefits likely to accrue by way of participation will be multilateral in nature.
Outcome anticipated from the visit / The knowledge and experience gained by the officer during the fair will be exploited for augmenting handloom exports from our country.
Lost outcome if the visit is not undertaken/ postponed / Participation in the event by an officer of the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms will benefit the handloom sector in planning future strategies for augmenting our exports of handloom products. If the visit is not undertaken, it will naturally effect planning of our future strategies for augmenting handloom exports in this region.
5 / Whether an invitation received from visiting countries, if so, details (Please enclose a copy) / Participation in fairs and exhibitions is a regular feature and the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms has been participating in such fairs through the Handloom Export Promotion Council since past many years. For the proposed deputation, no separate invitation is received from the fair organising country. This office participates in the fairs for increasing our share in the export basket.
6 / Details of meetings fixed in countries/ places being visited / The proposed officer will meet and interact with the officials of our Mission in China after reaching there. Presently, no meetings have been fixed.
7 / Whether concerned Indian Missions/ Posts have been consulted on arrangement and meetings required / Not, at present.
Level at which administrative approval for the visit taken in the nodal organisation / Approval of the Hon’ble Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge) has been obtained in the nodal organisation.
8 / Sources of funding for the visit / The Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms sources the funding from Foreign Travel Funds.
