Working with children aged 0-4.
Working in the local community.
Providing activities for children and families.
Working with children with specific and complex needs.

Knowledge and application of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Sound knowledge of early years’ child development and family support.
Knowledge and understanding of key theories and principles relating to early childhood and family life.
Sound knowledge of key legislation, policies, good practice and guidelines relating to area/s of specialism.
Knowledge of Safeguarding Children, signs and symptoms of child abuse, understanding of child protection issues and assessments and strategies for intervening early.
Knowledge of the prevent agenda.
Understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Good knowledge and experience of using a variety of different IT applications.
