PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL - November26thNovember 27th

Presider:

Let us look for the coming of the Lord into the world, and pray for the needs of all.… aswe cry out, Lord hear our prayer...

Lector:

  1. For our Church, led by Pope Francis, as we work to ready ourselves and the world for the coming of the Lord through our works of mercy and mission of evangelization…

For those who were able to eat because of our Thanksgiving generosity, and for those who live in hunger and poverty every week of the year, that they be remembered all year long…

For all those throughout the world who suffer from HIV/AIDS and its effects, and for eternal rest for all who have died from this terrible affliction…

For our own community of faith as we strive to live aware of the coming of the Lord, through our deeds of justice and charity…and for the intentions in our parish book…We pray…

2. For our brothers and sisters who are ill: Laura Moore Brown, Fe de la Cruz, Alida Tromeo-Veliz, Abbie Clavio, Gerald Johnson, Bob Cerf, John Palazza, Baby Lupita Flores Gonzalez, Louise Martin, James Martinek, Laurel Hessing, Baby Hewitt Campbell(PAUSE) For all those wounded in the service of our country, (PAUSE) that they be patient in their time of suffering and soon come to the fullness of health.... we pray....

Those who lost their lives through violence across our nation …and all the victims of war and terrorism(PAUSE) that they may rest forever in the embrace of the one true God, we pray....

4.And let us pause now to present our own personal petitions...(PAUSE ....count to 10)...... We are still a nation at war, let us pray for our president, our elected officials, the members of our diplomatic corps(core) and all those who serve our country in our uniformed services..... may their efforts for peace and justice be fruitful;..... together, let us raise our voices in a prayer for true and lasting peace......
