IMPORTANT FOR ALL STAFF USING THE CLJ

First you need to create a Tracker–

Click on ‘Click here to manage Skill and NC Tracker’ (bottom of school wheels menu page)

Then click on Create New Tracker here*

  • A new window will appear in the top left of your screen.
  • Type a log name in the box (between3 and 12 characters). This will now be your skills and National Curriculum tracker name for your class.Remember to identify the Academic Year eg Y3 12/13
  • Press OK.
  • Your tracker will appear under the list of trackers for your school.
  • You have now created a tracker name for all the wheels/skills and National Curriculum for your class.

MAKE SURE YOU ONLY USE THIS TRACKER

Click on your wheel (or create a new wheel) at the top of the screen; you will see Year box and next to it Skill and NC Tracker box.

  • Use the drop down in the Tracker box until you see Tracker for your class.
  • Click on the Tracker for your class – youMUST do this every time you create a new wheel or amend a wheel.

You are now set to record all the skills and the National Curriculum coverage for your wheels.

Create a wheel as normal –

  • Select year – select Tracker
  • Choose your skills in the 6 areas of learning
  • As you click on a skill a tick will appear in the box and a RED number will appear next to the skill (this number will indicate how many times you have chosen this skill).
  • The corresponding National Curriculum statement (at the bottom of page 2) will also have a tick in the box and a number in RED will also appear (this will indicate how many times you have covered this National Curriculum statement).
  • When you create a new wheel, the skills you have already covered will have a RED number next to the tick box.The National Curriculum statements you have already covered will have a RED number against the tick box.

NOTE

You can select/cover the skills as many times as you wish (reinforce skills). The RED number will increase each time you tick a skill. The same will happen for the National Curriculum statements.

To view your coverage of the National Curriculum at any time, just slide your cursor down to page 2 and view your coverage (see RED number next to each box).

NOTE

You MUST enter a Tracker name. If you do not, the skills or National Curriculum covered will NOT be recorded.

NOTE

You will need to delete your TRACKER at the end of the year and create a new TRACKER for the following academic year.

ALL skills and National Curriculum coverage comes into your weekly plans (if you use CLJ school planning). See step by step guide.

You can retrospectively track skills and National Curriculum coverage.

If you have an OLD wheel – but now wish to bring this into the NEW tracking system.
