Team Selection:

We have 4 teams in the Cheer Lions family:

Varsity FootballVarsity Basketball

JV Football/Basketball 9th Grade Football/Basketball

The Coaching Staff will be evaluating applicants throughout the try-out week and will select candidates for teams based on performance (ability to perform cheers & chants taught at try-outs), motions (placement, sharpness, levels), dance, showmanship, voice, jumps and flexibility, tumbling (if candidates have it), attitude, teamwork, work ethic, grade level, teacher recommendations. Every effort will be made to place a cheerleader with his/her appropriate grade level, but we do leave the option open to move younger cheerleaders up if a situation calls for that move to occur. Rising seniors can only be considered for a Varsity squad, while rising 9th grade students will only be considered for the JV or 9th Grade squad. The needs for each team will be evaluated and the candidates will be placed on teams based on the Coaches criteria. Previous participation in the Cheer Lions program does not guarantee a spot on one of our 2011-20122015-2016 2013-2014 squads.
