Party Wall Notice Letter Templates

On the following pages you will find:

  1. A Party Wall Notice to issue to your neighbour(s)which should be given at least two months before work commences.
  2. A letter for them to issue in reply if they are happy for you to go ahead.
  3. A letter for them to issue in reply if under dispute.

The square brackets instruct you on where to enter your details and those of your neighbours.You can then print out the filled in letters, leaving the lined sections blank for replies. Don’t forget to include your signature at the end.

You are required to describe the proposed works, but you can also attach plans of the build if you think they will be helpful. You must attach drawings of the foundations if special foundations are required.

If you are content for the works to go ahead as proposed please complete, sign and return the attached letter within 14 days of receiving this letter.

If you do not confirm in writing that you are content for the work to go ahead asproposed we will be 'in dispute' under the Act.In the event of any dispute between us under the Act, would you be willing to agree to the appointment of an 'Agreed Surveyor'? (Details of agreed surveyor to be advised if dispute arises).

If the answer is no, please let me know who you would appoint as your surveyor.
