Delegate Travel Information

Our cadet drivers and navigators will run all transportation services. Please follow the link below and provide us with your travel information so we can best plan for your arrival. You can make changes to this form after it has been submitted. We ask that all travel plans be finalized by October 7th.

Airport to West Point

We can provide transportation to and from the following airports: Newark-Liberty International Airport (EWR), LaGuardia International Airport (LGA), and Stewart International Airport (SWF). We highly recommend you book a flight arriving before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24 and a flight departing no earlier than 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 27.

EWR

  • If you are arriving at terminals A or B, please proceed to Terminal C for pick up. There will be a charter bus and a cadet in uniform there.
  • To reach terminal A from any of the other terminals take the AirTrain Rail System. The entrance is located near the security checkpoints in terminal A and B.
  • There will be two charter buses staged at Terminal C, one at 9 a.m. and the other at 1:30 p.m. They will be staged until they are full and the remaining delegates will be picked up in vans.
  • At the conclusion of the paper presentation on Saturday, October 27 there will be charter buses and vans to EWR.
  • We cannot provide transportation for flights arriving after 3 p.m. on October 24, or flights departing after October 27.

LGA

  • If you are arriving at terminals A, B, or C please proceed to the Terminal D, upper level for pick up. There will be a charter bus and a cadet in uniform there.
  • To reach terminal D from any of the other terminals proceed to the ground transportation area outside baggage claim, and board the free shuttle bus provided by the airport (runs every 10-15mins).
  • There will be one charter bus staged at Terminal D at 1 p.m. It will be staged until it is full and the remaining delegates will be picked up in the airporter.
  • There will be one airporter staged at Terminal D at 2 p.m. It will be staged until it is full.
  • At the conclusion of the paper presentation on Saturday, October 27 there will be charter buses and vans to LGA.
  • We cannot provide transportation for flights arriving after 3 p.m. on October 24, or flights departing after October 27.

SWF

  • Shuttles will be available from Stewart Airport to West Point. Delegates will meet cadets in uniform at baggage claim, where they will be directed to the van pickup area.
  • At the conclusion of the paper presentation on Saturday, November 1 there will be vans to SWF.
  • We cannot provide transportation for flights arriving after 3 p.m. on October 24, or flights departing after October 27.

JFK

  • Transportation will not be provided from JFK to West Point. Delegates choosing to fly into JFK must either take a taxi or the NYC Airporter to LaGuardia Airport for pickup by cadet transportation.

Driving to West Point

You are required to have a photo ID to enter the gates of West Point. You must enter through Thayer Gate and obtain a visitors pass. The address is: 674 Thayer Rd, West Point, NY 10996. Vehicles will be parked in A Lot and there will be shuttles down to campus.

From NYC

  • Head north to the George Washington Bridge/I-95 South. Cross the bridge via the upper deck, and stay in the right lane.
  • Exit immediately at the end of the bridge to Palisades Interstate Parkway
  • Take Palisades Interstate Parkway north 37 miles until it ends at the bear Mountain Bridge traffic circle. Proceed ¾ of the way around the circle, following signs for West Point and Route 9W North.
  • Enter Thayer Gate and follow the signs to “A lot”

From South/New Jersey

  • Travel north on the NJ Turnpike/I-95 to exit 73 toward RT-67/Fort Lee – just before the George Washington Bridge. Stay left and take your first left at Lemoine Ave. Continue straight for ½ mile then bear right onto the Palisades Interstate Pkwy North. SEE DIRECTIONS FROM PASISADES INTERSTATE PARKWAY ABOVE.

From the West

  • Travel east on Interstate 80 through New Jersey and take exit 43 to merge onto Interstate 287 northbound toward Mahwah. Ager entering New York, take the exit onto the New York State Thruway South toward the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 13N for the Palisades Parkway North toward Bear Mountain. From the North/New England

  • Travel west on Interstate 84 until you cross the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Follow signs for Route 9W South (exit 10S). Stay on Route 9W for approximately 12 miles until you cross over a large mountain. As you are in your final descent off the mountain, you will encounter three exits on your right for West Point

Train to West Point

Transportation will be provided to and from the Croton-Harmon Train Station We highly recommend you arrive to the stations by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24 and plan to depart no earlier than 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 27.

  • There will be shuttles running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from the train stations on October 24. A cadet will also be present in uniform.
  • Delegates traveling by Amtrak should travel to Croton-Harmon Station.
  • At the conclusion of the paper presentation on Saturday, October 27 there will be vans to the train stations.
  • We cannot provide transportation for trains arriving after 3 p.m. on October 24, or trains departing after October 27.
