Friday 19 October: PRE EVENT REGISTRATION

1400-1700Team Registration - Foskey Pavilion, Royal Darwin Showgrounds, Winnellie.

All team members are required to sign on for remote area medical insurance.

Each team will be issued with a copy of the Road Book and advised where to present vehicle for scrutineering.

The Road Book contains Emergency Contacts, General Points, Distance Chart, Control Stop procedures, Road Profiles, detailed route notes, UHF CB channel guide and finish line procedures.

Non-ADR compliant vehicles must attend full scrutineering with Solarcars.

ADR compliant vehicles must present for equipment check and application of event decal (500mm x 200mm in accordance with regulation 4.20.1)

Saturday 20 October: PRE EVENT REGISTRATION & PUBLIC DISPLAY

0800Experimental (non-ADR) vehicles report to HiddenValley for final qualifying and road registration formalities.

1000-1200ADR Compliant vehicles in Greenfleet class are invited to join the public display held at this PWSC qualifying event.

1730–1900Greenfleet Class briefing and networking reception

Sunday 21 October: STAGE 1: Darwin - Katherine

(approx 317 km)

The following information will be explained in full during the event briefing on Saturday 20th October. The following points are a reminder!

0645Teams report to Start Line, State Square, Darwin for marshalling into position.

Greenfleet Class vehicles should be presented between 0645 and 0715 (not before.)

All participating vehicles must enter the Supreme Court car park from Smith Street.

Non ADR compliant vehicles may only be unloaded after permission from the Start Marshal – Ensuring that you are in the correct location!

Escort vehicles required under Conditional Registration: Escort Vehicles as required by conditional registration are to report to the Herbert Street car park entrance of Parliament House by 07:00. (enter via the Esplanade) No Service Vehicles or Support Vehicles are permitted on the Start Line or Grid area.

Wednesday 24 October: STAGE 4: Alice Springs - Yulara

(approx 400 km - refuel at 351 km)

Non ADR Compliant vehicle teams, please note: NT Government conditional registration for experimental vehicles does not permit travel on the Lassiter Hwy to Ayers Rock.

Two Choices currently available:

1) Stop and Camp at Erldunda overnight (190 kms South of Alice Springs)

visit or phone 08 8956 0984. Regroup at Coober Pedy Thursday Night.

2) Load vehicle onto Car Trailer and travel to Yulara.

We are investigating another option of Securing vehicles at Erldunda.

1200–TBAREFUELING POINT: Curtain Springs Roadhouse (351Km)

1430DESTINATION CHECK POINT: Main Motel car park, Outback Pioneer Motel, Yulara (84 Km) Open until 1600, please check in with event officials (0407 851 781 / 0413 844 331) if arriving after this time.

From 1430No organised activities, Teams may wish to visit Ayers Rock / The Olgas.

(National Park fees apply) If you wish to climb the rock, suggest to do late afternoon.

Turn Left into Coober Pedy township, turn left into Hutchinson Street.

Saturday 27 October: STAGE 7: Port Augusta - Adelaide

(298 km)

0900Fuelling and sealing of fuel tanks.

BP Truckstop HiWay1, Port Augusta.

1230DESTINATION CHECK POINT: Torrens Parade Grounds, Cnr King William Road and Victoria Drive, enter off Victoria Drive, through boom gate.

Vehicle will be given instructs to attend final official fuelling point.

1230 Final fuel measurements Mobil, Pultney St, Adelaide (298 Km)

After final measurement, return from Mobil Pultney Street to Torrens Parade Ground and assemble.

1400-1600Green Fleet Vehicles will travel to Victoria Square in convoy with Police escort for Ceremonial finish and displays Victoria Square, Adelaide SA

From 1800Civic Reception for all participants, AdelaideTown Hall, King William Street, Adelaide.

NOTES REGARDING THE FINAL DAYS IN ADELAIDE:

Participating Greenfleet Technology Class vehicles will be on public display, Solar City, Victoria Square, Adelaide. (24 hour security will be in place):

1400-1700 Saturday 27th October

0900-1500 Sunday 28th October

This area will also contain a display of the solarcars which have finished the course, the finals of the Australian Model Solarcar Completion, public catering and other attractions.

Greenfleet Technology Class Vehicle teams are encouraged to provide display materials, and a team member(s) present to answer questions during the hours of public display.

Other Team cars may be parked at the Torrens Parade Ground. A free shuttle bus will operate between Torrens Parade Ground and the Finish Line during display hours. Any team with special needs should contact the organisers.

Vehicles may be removed from 15.00 Sunday 28th of October. Security will be present overnight into Monday 29th October.

Support Vehicle Parking will be available on Torrens Parade Ground until Wednesday 31st October.
