General Jamboree Information:

** Cost of entrance into the Jamboree at Vaught Hemingway Stadium is $5.00 per person (school age children and above). ONLY MHSAA PASSES WILL BE HONORED. Booster club passes from individual schools will NOT be honored.

** Due to time constraints of Hemingway stadium – it became necessary for some teams to play one game at OHS stadium in the first rotation. This was needed in order for us to be finished by 3 PM AND give all teams three games to play in the jamboree. There will NOT be an entrance fee for any game at OHS stadium.

** All spectators will enter WEST entrance of Vaught Hemingway Stadium and be seated on that side of the stadium.

** ALL TEAMS will enter stadium by bus through the South Entrance and will be directed by OHS personnel to park underneath the stadium. Teams will enter the playing field by the south end zone entrance. Teams will be assigned seating once you arrive in the south end zone area. Coaches will be expected to supervise your teams and also to pick up your seating area when you leave.

** A full service concession stand will be located by the west entrance.

Jamboree Rules:

** All games will be a 20 minute running clock. The format is for a team to be on offense for 10 minutes – with a 5 minute “halftime” – and then to be on defense for 10 minutes. Each team can have one timeout per half.

** Teams are expected to be on the field and ready to play at their assigned time. Teams may warm up on the field in the end zone prior to their assigned time.

** Water will be available on the sideline.

** Both sides of the field will be used in all games. Each team will start its series on offense on the 40 yard line. Down and distance will be available on the field, and will be used for teams and coaching emphasis. If a team doesn’t make 10 yards in four downs – the ball will be placed again on the 40 to start your new series of downs for that entire 10 minute period.

** No score will be kept during the jamboree. When a team scores, there will be no PAT – and the ball will be placed at the 40 yard line and a new series of downs will begin for that same team.

** Once the game is completed – teams must exit the playing field promptly – and go immediately to your assigned seating area in the south end zone.

** Trained EMT personnel and an ambulance will be available in the south end zone area for treatment of injuries.
