Organization:European Students’ Forum –Baki (AEGEE-Baki)

AEGEE-Baki is looking for young motivated volunteer to implement PR strategy of the organization

About AEGEE

AEGEE is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Europe; it is represented by 15.000 students, active in 241 academic cities, in 40 countries all around Europe, which presents amazing culture variety. The main tasks:

  • initiating and planning PR campaigns of AEGEE-Baki: defining goals; analysing problems and opportunities; liaising with the Board and members, as well as project staff of different units (internal and external);
  • writing and editing press releases, in-house newsletters, articles and annual reports;
  • maintaining and updating information on an organisation's website;
  • using advertising and other promotion tools to maintain an organisation's identity, name and reputation;
  • preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes about AEGEE-Baki activities;
  • answering enquiries from individuals, journalists and other organisations;
  • speaking in public at presentations, press conferences, radio and TV interviews, and meetings;
  • developing and maintaining good working relations with the media, including local and national newspapers, magazines, radio and television;
  • organising special events, such as press conferences, exhibitions, open days, tours, competitions and sponsorship;
  • fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant knowledge to implement the main tasks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent writing skills both in Azerbaijani and English
  • Ideal candidate can be a student with relevant educational background, or some experience in PR or media work can also be considered as an additional asset
  • High level motivation to work at youth organization on voluntary basis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
