No Major flooding was reported at that time. My power went out approximately 10:00 p.m. and eventually came back on by 02:00 a.m. To date there hasn't been any reports of damage.

  • as of 4:45pm we have deactivated our EOC. We are all fine, waters have gone down

17:03: Joe H, Tulalip:

  • Good to hear you on the radio today! Here's a windshield sitrep of the Tulalip Reservation on 8 JAN 2009:
I drove from 64th NW and Marine DR up to Kyak RD and saw a bit of water on the road from melting snow run-off. There was some evidence of fallen trees on the road that had been cleared. From Kyak RD over Firetrail all seemed clear to Meridian when the gullies were starting to overflow some driveways (also from melting snow.) Driving down 27th NE on the back side of the casino I saw a few pond in the fields, the largest was just west of bingo but none seemed to present a hazard. Continuing west on Marine DR from 27th the house at 1511 Marine DR NE had it's yard flooded and there was running water over the driveway (I later learned from Scott that this happens often at that site.) The PUD substation just east of that spot had minor flooding of it's yard and driveway but did not seem to present a hazard to the equipment. PUD was on site.
I talked to Ms James at the OEM and she reported no major issues that she was aware of. The Tulalip ARC did discuss possible need of sandbags but it was determined that none were needed at this time.
Let me know if you need further.
