Art can be picked up at Gallery Vertigo from 12pm to 3:30 p.m. on April 30th 2017. Art works not collected at that time will be shipped at the artist’s expense to the address provided on the entry form.

4th ANNUAL FIBRE ART EXHIBIT

ENTRY RULES

Criteria – submissions should be primarily of fibre composition and should be an original design of the artist. Each submission is to include the photography that is being represented. Both the Fibre Art and Photography should be mounted in a manner that facilitates display at the Gallery.

Registration - Registration form serves as the exhibit tag and must be completed entirely. The "Artist Statement" section is for interesting information about your piece. All registrations must be received prior to March 1, 2017 to be considered for the exhibit. Multiple registrations can be sent together. Submission of a registration form for this exhibit constitutes commitment by the artist that a piece will be provided.

Note: Should we receive a greater number of submissions than can be properly displayed,Gallery Vertigo reserves the right to limit the number of submissions. Limitation will be determined by the date the registration form was received. Registrants will be acknowledged by email and/or telephone of acceptance and will be advised of when and where to deliver/ship their piece. At the end of the exhibit, pieces may be picked up at Gallery Vertigo from 12 pm to 3:30 p.m. on April 30, 2017. Pieces not collected at that time will be shipped at the artist’s expense to the address provided on the registration form.

Label–Both fibre art and photography must have a label affixed to the back or inside of each piece. The piece’s title and exhibitor's name on the label must match the information on the registration form. You may wish to use a temporary label for use in this exhibit.

Entry Fee– There is anentry fee of $5.00 per piece. The entry fee is to cover expenses of the exhibit and support NOAA Gallery Vertigo, a registered charity.

Liability Release –Art works in the Gallery Vertigo Photo2Fibre 4thAnnual Fibre Arts Exhibit will be hung/displayed with all reasonable care. Each exhibitor, by signing the registration form, releases Gallery Vertigo, North Okanagan Artists Alternative, sponsors, staff, and/or volunteers from any liability. An adult is required to sign a release for any entrant under the age of 19.

Insurance - Insurance is the responsibility of the fibre artist/owner. In the unlikely event that a piece is damaged or lost, Gallery Vertigo, North Okanagan Artists Alternative or its sponsors, staff, and/or volunteers cannot be held responsible.

Photography - Photography by exhibit attendees and the media is permitted but photos may not be used for commercial purposes without the written permission of the exhibitor. Submission of a fibre art piece to Gallery Vertigo’s Photo2Fibre 4th Annual Fibre Arts Exhibit constitutes permission by the fibre artist/owner for his/her piece to be photographed and used for promotional purposes.

Pieces for sale - If you are interested in selling your piece, please ensure you put a price on the registration form. Gallery Vertigo charges a 30% commission on any piece sold at the exhibit.
