An exciting opportunity has become available on the Respiratory Ward, Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Senior Charge Nurse position.
You should have a commitment to respiratory medicine, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. You will have 24 hour responsibility for the ward, providing clinical leadership, managing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving forward models of care. You will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. You must have post registration experience at charge nurse level within an acute setting and be able to demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge, with management experience. You must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute medical and chronic respiratory illnesses.
This post is 37.5 hour per week predominantly worked over 4 weekdays. There is also a requirement to for the occasional weekend day working to cover the duty charge nurse shift for the directorate.

ORTHOPAEDICS (TRAUMA AND ELECTIVE)
ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER

We are looking to recruit two experienced Registered nurses to join our Orthopaedic advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) team, who are ready to embrace the challenge of this dynamic and challenging role. The post holder will be an expert clinical practitioner responsible for providing advanced clinical skills in our Orthopaedic unit (trauma and elective), enhancing care and improving patient flow in conjunction with national standards.
You will have experience in managing safe, effective treatment and care. This will involve working across professional and organisational boundaries in partnership with others including acute and primary care nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and senior management teams. You will provide direct patient management in partnership with senior medical staff, have sound clinical knowledge and highly developed clinical decision-making skills in acute care. You should possess the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, work across professional boundaries and be flexible in an extremely busy environment.
You must be in possession of a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice. Possession of a Masters qualification or a willingness to work towards is desirable however, the ability to demonstrate Masters level thinking is essential.

We are looking for a forward thinking individual to come and work as part of our Emergency Nurse Practitioner service within the Emergency Department at the Victoria hospital, Kirkcaldy. The Nurse Practitioner’s deliver care to our minor injury flow of patients within the Minor’s section of the Emergency Department at the VHK, but there may also be a requirement to cover within the Minor Injuries Unit at the Queen Margaret Hospital.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced ENP's who have successfully completed an accredited Minor Injury, Illness and Non-medical prescribing course will be considered for this post. Candidates with only accreditation for a minor injury course will be required to complete a specific learning programme prior to progression to a Band 7. We will however consider staff with suitable experience of working within this scope of practice, who have a desire to develop and become a Nurse Practitioner. During this time you will be paid in accordance with Annex 20 arrangements for pay and banding of trainees.
You must have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work autonomously, plan and prioritise workloads. You must also be flexible with your shift patterns and be a team player. The Minor’s section of the Emergency Department is a great learning environment giving many opportunities for learning new skills.
This post will be rotational nights and days.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Charge Nurse within Ward 3 Glenrothes Community Hospital which is a rehabilitation/step down unit with specialist medicine for the elderly input. You should have relevant post registration experience in a similar setting and a good understanding of the role of the Community Hospital.
You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to inspire, enthuse and lead the nursing team. You will be accountable for delivering on service provision, redesign and improvement to provide safe, effective, person centred care.
