The County of Fresno has issued Request for Quotation Number 204-4836, which solicits quotes for a New Data Storage System - EMC NS480. This bid closes on May 13, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.

overview
The County of Fresno is soliciting bids for the purchase of a new EMC NS480 data storage system for the County’s Information Technology Services Department (ITSD). The equipment has been configured and sized for replacement of an existing EMC CX700 SAN and NS704G NAS with suitable expansion as reflected in the Request for Quotation No. 204-4836 Quotation Schedule. Installation, maintenance, support and migration services are also included in the RFQ’s Quotation Schedule. Note, the support and maintenance are four (4) years from installation date, and to be provided by EMC Support Services. Equipment supplied will all be original EMC products. All support, installation, maintenance, training will be provided by EMC personnel. Included are specifications for assistance for data migration to mitigate down time during the conversion process.
This order will be financed through the County’s Leasing agent of choice. The vendor awarded the bid will be required to meet all of the leasing requirements for the transfer of ownership based upon the vendor’s bid price.
County will purchase NEW equipment with options and accessories. Accessory purchases will be made in conjunction with the new equipment purchase. Used, re-conditioned or re-manufactured equipment will not satisfy the requirement for NEW equipment.
