30th Control – QS Networking and Business Platform
Control 2016 Distinguished by High-End Quality and Extensive Internationalism
Frickenhausen/Stuttgart, 2 May 2016 –The 30th Control set the scene brilliantly once again with products and services presented by 914 exhibitors from 31 countries at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 26th through the 29th of April, 2016.
On its 30th birthday, the Control international trade fair for quality assurance made the quality aspect of Industry 4.0 demonstrably tangible once more. To a greater extent than any other trade fair in the world, Control showcases a highly practical presentation of hardware and software for industrial quality assurance in all relevant areas of production and distribution.
914 Exhibitors from 31 Countries
Above all the fact that more than 150 new products were presented for the first time ever, anywhere in the world, underscores the great importance of Control as the number one information, communication and business platform. Many of these new products come from the constantly, rapidly growing sector for industrial image processing, which currently already makes up more than 25% of Control’s exhibition portfolio. And thus in this respect as well, Control is the number one event – especially in light of the fact that close cooperation with the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and the successfully launched “Control Vision Talks” communication platform have been very well received by the QA community and were met with corresponding attention.
Number One Industry Event for the QA Community
Not least of all, further growth in expert visitor numbers of roughly 3.5% is also indicative of the continuing success of the Control international trade fair for quality assurance. In the final analysis, private trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG were able to announce that 26,809 expert visitors came to the event from 92 countries! And in light of the comprehensive offerings from 31 countries and the large numbers of expert visitors from 92 nations, the event enjoyed comparatively high levels of foreign participation which is above all explained by the globalisation of production.
26,809 Expert Visitors from 92 Countries
In addition to consistent offerings forproducts, services and information presented by the manufacturers and distributors, the supplementary programme organised by time-tested and new collaboration partners alike had its finger on the pulse of the QA world. Numerous presentations and panel discussions with world-class speakers and industry representatives were met by the expert visitors with just as much interest as the conferring of the Baden-Württemberg Competence Award which takes place traditionally during the opening press conference on the first day of the trade fair. The initiators, namelythe TQU Group and trade fair promoters P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, selected Dr. Carl-Heiner Schmid, senior partner of the Heinrich Schmid Consultancy Group in Reutlingen, Germany, as this year’s winner.
In his laudation, Professor Dr. Heinz Trasch of the Steinbeis Foundation stressed that “Dr. Carl-Heiner Schmid places greatest importance on the employees of his service company and promotes an innovative spirit, continuous development, a fair management style and an ongoing dialogue with his employees.”
Highly Satisfied Exhibitors and Expert Visitors
The highlight of the first day of the trade fair turned out to be a very good omen for the rest of Control’s anniversary event, which enjoyed uninterruptedly large numbers of expert visitors from the very first to the final day on the occasion of its 30th birthday. The exhibitors met with strong investment and procurement interest at the highest decision-making levels, and at the end of the event satisfied faces could be seen everywhere, unanimously vowing: “We’ll be back for the next Control” (31st CONTROL at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 9th through the 12th of May, 2017).
