NCPDP Revitalizes Its Website, Offering Improved Navigation
and Member Functionality

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - May 27, 2010 - The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) announced today the successful re-launch of its website, www.ncpdp.org. The website went live earlier this year, marking the first major transformation of the site since 2007. The not-for-profit organization, known for its 30-year track record of developing industry standards that consumers, clinicians and pharmacists rely on today - set out to revitalize its online presence in 2009. The website launch was a critical component of the overall plan, which also includes integrated social media outreach activities.

Payers, providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers/distributors, professional associations and other site visitors can quickly and easily locate information about the organization, its work groups, significant milestones, industry news and events and most importantly - how to get involved and improve the healthcare experience. The website also features a new user interface and incorporates enhanced member functionality such as member profile update, member password reset and membership renewal. Other enhancements, such as member calendar, will be rolled out this year. The new website has an industry high bounce rate which shows visitors do not leave the website after viewing just one page. This also shows that the new website is keeping visitors engaged on the site longer, and coming back for more.
