My name is Brenda McCann and I am a Principal Attorney of The McCann Law Group, LLP (DBA Consumer Attorney Services, P.A.) Our Firm is a full service consumer advocacy law firm headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. The Firm’s main areas of practice include foreclosure defense, Lender work outs, and consumer bankruptcy.

We are a national firm with Local Associate Attorneys in 35 states and growing. Our Firm is rapidly expanding its foreclosure defense practice and we are seeking qualified foreclosure defense attorneys with experience aggressively negotiating with and possibly litigating against Mortgage Lenders and Servicers to partner with throughout the Country.

Our business model is simple, practical and innovative. We employ qualified, experienced attorneys, paralegals and case managers, at the headquarters here in Jacksonville, and seek to provide superior “back office” support for the cases that we send to you as an Associate Attorney of Consumer Attorney Services. As your “back office,” we effectively gather all the documents from the clients, vet and research potential problematic issues, chart out all possible outcomes for the life of the action, and ultimately draft all pleadings and motions for your final review and approval. We also provide post-filing support by monitoring the court dockets, client care and scheduling, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

As an Associate Attorney, you will be paid on a per case basis. For every new case you accept, you will receive $75.00. This is the “base legal fee,” please note that it is always possible for Associate Attorneys to earn $125.00 for each subsequent filing, and an additional $200.00 every appearance you attend. There also may be more compensation available for covering client matters that occur outside of the Associate Attorney’s geographic area of practice. Depending on the case, you may occasionally be required to travel to meet with clients as it is our policy to provide an Attorney within an hour of our client’s home address.

At no cost to you, Consumer Attorney Services provides E&O liability insurance to you as an Associate Attorney of the firm for all cases in which you appear on behalf of the firm.

In addition, if you are interested in becoming an Associate Attorney in the area of bankruptcy, after a review of your credentials, we can start sending even more cases your way. You would be paid on a per case basis. Chapter 7 is $400 and a Chapter 13 is $600. We prepare the filings and submit to you to go over with the client. Then you attend the 341 hearing. The pay is more if you have to travel greater than an hour from your office. Bankruptcy issues that arise beyond our basic agreement also increase’s your compensation.

Finally, your partnership with us brings many potential new clients through your doors for other non-competing legal services.

Role and Responsibilities

As an Associate Attorney for Consumer Attorney Services, you make yourself available either in person, or by phone, to the Client prior to the first hearing you attend on their behalf. In addition, you are expected to personally attend all appearances on behalf of the client.
