Andy Barnes welcomed everyone to the meeting and said it was good to see such a large turnout and range of clubs.

The annual reports were then presented (copies can be found on the nottshockey.org.uk website)

Andy Barnes thanked the Hon. Secretary for his report.

  1. Hon. Treasurer’s Report

A question was asked about why the Ladies pay an MRHA affiliation fee but the men don’t. It was explained that the men do pay the same fee but it is collected alongside men’s league fees invoice.

  1. Men’s Competitions

  1. Women’s Competitions

Andy Barnes presented a report forwarded by the Notts Women’s Hockey League.

  1. Hockey Development Group (inc. Schools and Youth)

Tim Speight presented a report from the Notts HDG. It was mentioned that, players need to get registered on-line before coming to attending JDCs. Some coaches struggles as there were more players turning up than expected due to JPRC returning players who had not registered

  1. Umpiring

Andy Barnes presented a short report in the absence of an umpiring rep.

Disappointed that Notts now have no junior umpires. New course has started and Richard Glynne-Jones has completed his notional umpiring ‘tour’. Currently there are only 3 or 4 tutors in Midlands capable of conducting the new course.

Newark HC won the top club award from the Umpires.

Pledge from EMHUA to hold more members coaching evenings.
